Silvaplana – The world famous kite spot in the Swiss mountains
Silvaplana has made his name in the kite world With one of the first kiteshop/schools in Switzerland/Europe, with kite world tour stops from the beginning of the sport Every day when the weather is nice the maloja wind kicks in you will see how people learn how to kite, how people enjoy cruising around or full on professionals training for their upcoming contest The camping is situated right on the “kitewiese” and the Swiss kite school where one can book some lessons or try out or buy the newest kite gear
Windsurfing and the newest trend wingsurf foiling
Since the early 80’s the lake silvaplana has been the mecca for windsurfing. There has been numerous of championships even some world championships held on this lake every year. And with the Engadin windsurf marathon also the longest windsurf race every year still held worldwide. Our location makes it possible! From our camping you can roll right out of your tent or bus onto your windsurf gear in the lake.
Right next to the camping there’s a windsurfing school with rental equipment and shop.
Biking in the Engadin
The Engadine is a paradise for mountain biking. With miles and miles of bike trails for all different levels directly leaving from the camping it makes every bike lovers heart beat faster.
There’s a nice little “pump track” right next to the camping as well for the little biker/skaters as well as for the bigger “kids” to play around on. There’s also a great bike shop about 5 minutes away in the middle of town for rental, newest gear or repair.

Hiking in the Engadin
For all that love to get around by feet, there’s plenty of trails to hike that will bring you some of the most breathtaking views you’ve ever seen. There’s about 580km of prepared trails to choose from. There are also a lot of family specials.
Insider tip is to come in June when most of the snow is just gone and the alp flours are waking up from their winter sleep.
Or come in the fall, where you will see colors out in nature you’ve never seen before.
That’s when you understand why some famous painters and writers choose the Engadin for they’re inspiration.
